Knights Have Winning Week on the Court
The boys’ tennis team rebounded nicely from a 5-0 defeat to Voorhees on Tuesday, April 16, by winning its next two matches to improve to 3-4 on the season.
The Knights enjoyed a 4-1 victory over North Plainfield on Wednesday, April 17. Ryan Shin ‘21 and Andrew Margolis ‘20 each won their individual matches 6-4, 6-2 while the doubles teams of James Hersh ‘20 and David Isserow ‘22 and Nicolas Babbio ‘22 and Frank Xiang ‘20 were also victorious.
The boys kept up the momentum the following day by defeating Bound Brook 3-2. It was an incredible come-from-behind victory as the Knights were down 2-0 after the first two matches. Margolis was then able to emerge victorious in third singles after convincingly defeating his opponent 6-0, 6-1. This was followed up by wins from the doubles teams of Dara Nourbakhsh ‘19 and Xiang, and Babbio and Hersh to seal the victory.
