Valuable Support
Through the gifts of volunteer time and financial resources, the Parents' Association provides invaluable support for the school and helps promote GSB's distinctive community spirit. This involvement gives GSB parents a better understanding of the school, the community, and provides an avenue to get to know other parents, teachers, and staff. With the funds raised from its various activities, the Parents' Association allocates funds to special programs, projects and events that benefit all members of the GSB community.
Leadership
Under its by-laws, the Parents’ Association is directed by an executive committee, composed of the president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer, the head of school, and a representative of the school's administration. The Parents' Association Steering Committee, chaired by the president, is composed of the members of the executive committee and chairs of the standing committees, including: Annual Fund, Athletic Booster Club, Casino Night / Auction, Fashion Event, Homecoming / Family Day, Welcome Breakfast, Year-end Breakfast, Parent Admission Network, and Publicity. Additional committees may be added, as needed, each year.
Meetings
The Executive Committee and Steering Committee meet monthly to discuss and plan events for the GSB community. Meetings take place at the beginning of each month, after drop-off, in the Conger Alumni House.
