Gnapp Named Head Coach of Girls' Varsity Basketball Program
Gill St. Bernard's School is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Gnapp as the new head coach of the girls' varsity basketball team. In this role, Gnapp will report to the athletic director and be responsible for building on the strength of the current program by directing all aspects including training and coaching of the team.
Gnapp brings more than 25 years of basketball coaching experience to Gill. He has been the head girls' basketball coach for the West Morris Mendham High School girls' varsity basketball team since 2011 and has worked as the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) director and manager of Hoop Heaven Bridgewater, a specialty basketball training facility, since 2006. Prior to these posts, he was the head girls' basketball coach for Parsippany High School for five years and coached at Morris Catholic High School in Denville for two years. He earned the Star Ledger's honor of Coach of the Year in 2008.
During his coaching tenure, he has been a part of two conference championships, one Morris County Championship, two State Sectional Championships, one overall group New Jersey State Championship and one Tournament of Champions appearance.
Gnapp is a New Jersey native who played varsity basketball for Parsippany High School and then went on to play basketball at Susquehanna University. During his work as a high school coach, he has coached and trained numerous collegiate Division I and professional players and co-directed the Future Basketball Stars Program of South Plainfield. Mark was also selected as the coach for the North/South All-Star Game from 2015-17. He holds a bachelor's degree from Susquehanna University.

I am confident he will be a tremendous asset to our athletic program and continue the tradition of excellence that has been established in our girls' team."
