Knights Advance to Semis; Soucie ’20 Scores 1,000th Point

The boys’ basketball team advanced to the Somerset County Tournament semifinals after defeating Bound Brook, 88-47, in the quarterfinals yesterday.
 
The win was especially memorable for senior Will Soucie '20, as the University of North Alabama commit scored his 1,000th career point during the victory. He also added seven rebounds and three assists.
 
Also having great showings for Gill were Zach Martini ’20 (10 points, 12 rebounds), Mack Mgbako ’23 (18 points, nine rebounds, five assists, two steals), Denver Anglin ’22 (16 points), and Isaac Hester ’23 (12 points).
 
GSB, the eighth-ranked program in New Jersey, faces off against their local rival Watchung Hills, the 11th-ranked program in the state, in the semifinals on Thursday, February 27.
