Athletic Teams Shine During Homecoming/Family Day Contests
With roughly 1,000 fans in attendance, the Gill St. Bernard's Knights enjoyed resounding success at the 2014 Homecoming/Family Day celebration. Ten out of the 12 GSB teams in action were victorious on the most splendid fall Saturday in recent memory.
Earning victories over Rutgers Prep in the morning session were the Middle School boys’ and girls’ cross country, girls’ tennis and boys’ soccer teams. Varsity boys’ and girls’ cross country followed with wins over the Argonauts, as did the JV boys’ soccer team over Delaware Valley and JV girls’ tennis over Kent Place. The festivities ended with varsity boys’ soccer and varsity girls’ tennis also defeating Delaware Valley and Kent Place, respectively.
Gill’s Middle School and varsity girls’ soccer teams competed admirably in defeat to contribute to the overall success of the day.
