Walsh ’21 Named Conference Player of the Week
Junior girls’ basketball player Caileigh Walsh was named the Skyland Conference Player of the Week by NJ.com.
The publication referred to Walsh as “one of the elite post players in the state” and her stats certainly back up that claim, as she is averaging a double-double so far this season.
She is coming off a particularly dominant week on the court, recording 20 points, ten rebounds, and four blocks in Gill’s upset win over eighth-ranked Franklin. She followed up with a 19-point, 11-rebound performance in GSB’s following game against 16th-ranked Bayonne.
