GSB Players to Stage PIPPIN

The young Prince Pippin longs for adventure, and to prove his loyalty to his father, King Charles, Pippin goes to war. However, the Leading Player convinces the young prince to fight tyranny, so Pippins kills Charles and takes over the throne. Recognizing his big mistake, he begs the Leading Player to bring his father back to life, and he does. The prince then falls in love with Catherine and can't decide whether to settle down to a peace-filled existence or continue to "make magic with the dazzling troupe of performers." To find out what happens, don't miss the award-winning GSB Players' production of PIPPIN, March 6 & 7 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, March 8, at 1:30 p.m., in the GSB Performing Arts and Community Center. Entering his 30th year at GSB, Performing Arts Chair Paul H. Canada has been teaching theatre and staging award-winning Upper School productions. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in costume and set design from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers, and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Mississippi College. Working extensively as a director and designer in educational and community theatre, Mr. Canada also designs for professional theatre.
