Johnson ’18 Reaches All-American Status

Former GSB standout runner and Class of 2018 alumnus Nicole Johnson continues to wow crowds and set impressive standards in the running world while at Middlebury College.
 
Johnson currently competes on the college’s cross country squad, as well as the indoor and outdoor teams. It was this past winter when Johnson achieved her most significant athletic achievement to date, being ranked 15th in the country at the Division III level in the 800 meters after completing a time of 2:15:08 at the 2020 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.This time and ranking secured her All-American status. 
 
Additionally, Johnson finished the season third in the New England Region for the 800, garnering All-Region (New England) accolades. Off the track, she received NESCAC All-Academic recognition for all three seasons in the 2019-2020 school year (cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track) and is a three-time Middlebury College Scholar.
 
“My experience being a scholar-athlete at Gill set me up for my continued success at Middlebury,” said Johnson. “I cannot wait for the upcoming seasons and look forward to bringing home more success for Middlebury and GSB!"
