Class of 2020 Celebrates with Mobile Commencement Ceremony

The sun was shining brightly on Gill St. Bernard’s School as the 88 members of the Class of 2020 received diplomas at an historic Mobile Commencement Ceremony on Sunday afternoon.  To the background music of the bagpipers of St. Ann’s of Hampton Pipes and Drums, seniors and their parents were greeted at the school’s entry gate by Upper School Director Dr. Joel Coleman, and proceeded in their cars to travel through the campus, cheered on by faculty and staff, and then received their diplomas from Head of School Sid Rowell and Board of Trustee Chair Doug Matthews. Prior to leaving the campus, Director of Alumni Relations Chanelle Walker presented each new alumni with a special GSB gift.

Later that evening in a virtual gathering hosted by Dr. Coleman, Mr. Rowell shared inspiring remarks for the graduating seniors, and then they enjoyed an enthusiastic congratulatory video from their teachers and school staff.

Congratulations graduates, and we look forward to being together for our in-person commencement ceremony on August 2!
