Middle School Boys’ Basketball Wins Inaugural Championship

The boys’ Middle School basketball team finished the season on Thursday, February 27th, with an exclamation point, defeating Newark Academy, 76-67, to claim the first-ever Middle School Athletic Conference Championship.

All the boys played a vital part in winning the game, and the championship victory sealed a remarkable perfect record of 11-0 for GSB.

The Knights began practicing in mid-November, and worked very hard, while constantly improving throughout the season.

“I was fortunate to receive assistance from Director of Lacrosse Operations and MS Physical Education teacher, Byron Collins,” said head coach Chris Walsh. “Kara Ryan served as the Team Parent and did a great job. The rest of the parents also helped out and provided great support to the team. The boys really enjoyed the season, and they look to continue developing their basketball skills as they move forward!”
