Solondz ’21 Finishes Top-20 in NJ

Junior fencer Caroline Solondz ended her successful season at the NJSIAA State Championships at Livingston High School on Sunday, March 1. Solondz qualified for the prestigious event after placing third in districts earlier in the season.

Solondz competed in the women’s sabre event while facing many fencers who were nationally ranked in this weapon, and ultimately finished 19th in the state. Overall, Solondz owned a remarkable 32-1 record in dual meets for GSB this season.

“Qualifying for this event was an incredible accomplishment for Caroline,” said head coach Stephen Olson. “She really had outstanding results at every tournament and was so good for us in dual meets as well.”

Great job, Caroline!
