Ice Hockey Off to Fast Start in 2020

The ice hockey team has responded well since the beginning of the New Year, going 2-1 over its first three games, while outscoring opponents 16-3 over the last two contests.
 
After opening 2020 with a tough 8-1 loss to Whippany Park on January 4, the Knights have shown great resolve in winning their next two games in blowout fashion.
 
Gill began the rebound with a dominating 10-1 victory over Parsippany Hills on January 9. Logan Mote ’22 had a fantastic day for GSB, recording four assists and one goal. Multiple goal scorers for the Knights included Eddie McCarthy '20 (two goals, two assists), Christian Mote ’22 (two goals, two assists), and Adam La Tournous ’23 (two goals). Matt Cooper ’21 recorded six saves for the win.
 
GSB followed up this performance with another strong outing, defeating High Point 6-2 on January 11. McCarthy led the way with three assists, with Brenen Lavoie '21 (two goals, one assist), Christian Mote (one goal, one assist), Connor Udoff ’21 (one goal, one assist), and Matt Bloomenthal ’22 (one goal) making solid contributions as well.
 
The Knights are now 5-3-2 and will next take the ice against Mountain Lakes on January 13.
