Knights Claim Prep Championship
The boys’ soccer team claimed its 11th Prep B Championship on Wednesday, October 30th, by defeating Montclair Kimberley Academy, 2-0.
Micaah Garnette ’21 was once again a force on offense for Gill, as the sensational junior scored both goals for the Knights. He was assisted on these goals from Chris Chyzowych ’21 and Jaeden Ead ’21. Alex Borto ’22 was also phenomenal in net, recording 10 saves to earn his seventh shutout of the season.
It has been a week to remember for the Knights, as they previously claimed their first Somerset County Championship in program history last Saturday by defeating Pingry 4-2, and have been recently ranked the eighth-best program in the state by NJ.com.
Gill will look to collect more hardware before the end of the season, as the Knights continue play in the Non-Public B tournament.
