Golf Takes 2nd at Somerset County Championships

Yesterday, at Neshanic Valley Golf Course, the varsity golf team took second place at the Somerset County Championships. The squad placed ahead of eight schools, falling to Pingry. Senior Moritz Weigold and sophomore Graeme Hollingshead each shot an 81 and senior Abhay Puri posted an 85 to contribute to the win. In individual scores, Weigold and Hollingshead tied for fourth on the leaderboard.

Head Coach Mike Cascini offered, “Taking second place yesterday in a field that included teams like Watching Hills, Ridge and Montgomery is impressive. Pingry put up some real low scores which were just out of our reach. Playing in the wind and rain is no easy task and I’m pleased with the way we handled it.”
