Knights Perform Well Against Top Competition

The boys’ swim team fell to Morristown-Beard on Monday, December 17, by a score of 105-62. The Knights now sit at 1-1 on the season.
 
“I give the boys a lot of credit for scoring over 60 points,” said head coach Nolan Silbernagel. “Morristown-Beard has some of the best middle lane talent in the state so I am very proud of our team for keeping it a competitive meet.”
 
The highlight of the meet came during the 200 freestyle relay as the team of Rob Brandl ’20, Jonathan Osma, ’20, Preston Reep ’19, and Christian Ernst ’19 claimed first place with a time of 1:55.69. The team of Jake Baber ’21, Gabe Myler ’19, Evan Matthews ’20, and Adrian Massuet ’20 took second place in the event as well.
 
Grabbing top-three finishes in individual events were Brandl (200, 100 Freestyle), Osma (200 Individual Medley, 100 Backstroke), Ernst (50, 100 Freestyle), Reep (50 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly), and Massuet (100 Breaststroke).
 
The Knights’ next competition is on Monday, January 7, against Franklin High School.
